The Guemes Island Cemetery Commission will host the annual Memorial Day observance at 10 am on Monday, 29 May 2023 at Edens Cemetery.  This is the opportunity for Island residents to gather to honor and remember those who over the years have died in defense of our Nation.  Additionally, it has become customary to remember those of the Guemes Community who have died since our last Memorial Day Observance.

We will begin the observance near the main gates where Commissioner Adam Veal will narrate the history of the cemetery and lead a walk up the cemetery to the top of the western ridge.  For those who prefer not to make the short walk, chairs will be provided where the continuation of the observance will take place.
